Xezo Xezo Maestro® Paua Abalone Sea Shell Fountain Pen (Medium Nib) - Platinum Plated

<p>Building on the tradition of our classic Xezo Maestro® series introduced circa 2003, this production was introduced to the market in 2014. The Xezo Maestro® Sea Shell Platinum fountain pen series is produced in limited editions. Each luxury pen is individually serialized and unique. The pen features a medium point German-made steel nib and solid brass fittings plated in .999 platinum.<br>The overall design concept of these pens uses the Art Nouveau style, highlighting the natural beauty found in the colors and shapes of real sea shells.</p><p>These pens are handcrafted and feature a uniquely developed, intensive technique of applying the sea shell mosaic on the solid brass round body of the pen. Once the shell is perfected, layers upon layers of clear lacquer are applied onto the pen. Each of these layers are cured and hand-polished to a shine before the next is applied, ensuring the precious iridescence of the natural sea shell is preserved and durable. <br>Due to the slight difference in weight of each of the sea shell panels involved in the production of these pens, the weight of each pen will vary slightly. Sea shells are natural materials; therefore, some distinctions in the texture of these materials may occur. These distinctions and variations in texture are not defects, but rather natural attributes which add beauty and uniqueness to each of these pens. These sea shell panels can range from green to black, along with red or blue overtones. </p><p>No two pens are exactly alike.
